September 17-20, 2009
Riviera Hotel and Convention Center, Las
Vegas, NV, USA
Please join us as we celebrate our 11th Cake Camp (formerly Mini-Classes). This event has grown over the years to become the most popular event of its type held by any State Cake Club anywhere, attracting international instructors and attendees coming from many US states and overseas.
Registration
Your Cake Camp 2009 Committee has been working very hard to get the Cake Camp registration process up and running. At this moment, you are able to VIEW ONLY classes for Cake Camp 2009 at www.cakecamp.com and click on Classes. You can also RESERVE YOUR HOTEL ROOM at the Riviera though the hotel link (Accommodation).
We anticipate Cake Camp 2009 Registration will open at 2pm PST (PACIFIC STANDARD TIME) on Saturday April 4th. Please remember, it takes MANY hands to make this process work, and unexpected technical difficulties are always possible. If registration is not live by this time, please keep checking back.
So start planning your class roster now for September 18-20, 2009. Remember, you cannot enroll in classes that overlap in time. Classes are priced individually. The Cake Camp registration fee is $100 (which includes 1 banquet ticket). You can purchase additional banquet tickets when you register online. You need to be a member of the California Cake Club to attend Cake Camp. If you are not a member, join today at www.cacakeclub.org for $20 for 1 year. On the registration page, you will see a Classroom Fee of $75. If you have booked, or will book your hotel room at the Riviera, you can UN-check this box. If you are staying at a hotel other than the Riviera, you will be required to pay this fee.
Please make sure to view the Tentative Schedule for Cake Camp, as we have activities starting on Thursday September 17th with a Welcome Reception in our Vendor Room at 4pm. We will also be having our General Meeting and Dinner Banquet (with fun surprise entertainment) starting at 5:30pm on Friday September 18th.
We have MANY great instructors and classes lined up this year! Remember, our theme is “Cakes, Cookies, Creativity” and we look forward to seeing a lot of that at Cake Camp 2009! If you have questions about the registration process please contact Tami Jones at tamicakes@cox.net.
Thank you and we’ll see you in September!
Your Cake Camp 2009 Committee
Display your creativity and be a part of the banquet!
In keeping with the theme for this year’s Cake Camp which is Cakes,
Cookies and Creativity, we are going to do something completely
different this year. We are asking YOU the attendees to bring a 3-tier
DUMMY cake that will be used as centerpieces on the tables at our
Friday Night Banquet. We thought it would lots of fun to have 40
different cakes that everyone can walk around, look at and photograph. We are hoping everyone will interact and check out
all the cool cakes! These cakes will NOT be used as raffle items (like
our normal centerpieces) you will be asked to take them back home
with you. Your name will be prominently displayed next to your cake,
so it will be a great opportunity to show off your talents to your other
cake club friends. Keep this is mind and watch the next newsletter for
more details. We want you to be “part” of the club and show!
